Mental Health First Aid

What is Mental Health First Aid?

Mental health first aid (MHFA) is a two-day training course which equips people to support and listen non-judgmentally to others who may be experiencing poor mental health.

MHFAiders will learn some practical tools which provide comfort and hope, as well as how to signpost to appropriate further support.

As a former HR professional who was responsible for health and wellbeing in high-profile, nationwide organisations, I have implemented MHFA schemes where MHFAiders feel confident and empowered in their roles. If this is your first time rolling out MHFA, feel free to contact me to discuss whether it would be right for your organisation.

The practicalities

I'm accredited to deliver MHFA training by MHFA England. In line with their requirements, I deliver two-day MHFA programmes for 8 to 16 people. Due to the emotive nature of the course content, I prefer to deliver these programmes face-to-face, but we can discuss whether online training would be better for your organisation.

If you have lots of part-time staff, we can chat about running the course over 3-4 days.

MHFA qualifications last for three years, after which a four-hour refresher is required. I can deliver this programme for you face-to-face or online.

What are your fees?

MHFA England set a recommended fee per participant. Please contact me for the latest pricing.

"Delivered very well. Very informative and interactive. Lots of group involvement and discussions. Sarah was very professional and kept us all in engaged with great understanding and presented well."

"I thoroughly enjoyed the course. I feel it is so beneficial and more people should do it."
